The Royal Family – Do we Need Them?

We all know the Royal Family, but what impact do they have on us? Well, they don’t really run the country, the Government do. They run our money and make practically all the decisions. The Royal family are basically just representing the country. England’s mascots if you like.

The Royal Wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William is coming up and who pays for a large proportion of it? We do! We all do with our raised taxes and bills. But, is there any point? For some people, yes. These people support the Royal Family and believe that we truly need them. But for some people, no, there isn’t any point. It’s not like we know them personally enough to pay for their wedding and party and it’s not like they’re going to invite us any time too.

But there are some things that are good about the Royal Family. They represent the power England has had over the past centuries. We might not think about it, living in England, but a vast majority of the people in foreign countries that don’t have a Royal Family come to England on their holidays and visit Buckingham palace because of the Royal family. In fact, we, as a country, are very famous for our Royal Family. They might not really do much but our Royal Family are a monument of England’s power in the past. Royalty is in their blood and they are determined to show it, no matter what the Government says. It is not the Royal Family’s fault, it’s the Government who have decided to take all the responsibility of Governing the country.

In conclusion, I think we do need the Royal Family but we do not need to take responsibility for their celebrations in money ways. They have lots of money themselves so they should put it to good use instead of taking ours from those whom are not willing. But they Love England and England loves them.
