Many of you watched Comic Relief 2011, and almost certainly saw Lenny Henry make fun of the Kings Speech, but there has been a lot of questioning over if a charity that raises money for disabled and unfortunate people should be making fun of someone who stammers.
“I don't think belittling a person who stammers is very funny. I am a big supporter of comic relief. You guys do amazing work. Telling someone who stammers to get on with it' is really unkind. Telling someone who stammers to hurry up talking is like asking a paraplegic to get up and walk” was just one of the comments posted about the sketch on You Tube.

But has it become all about the laughs now on Comic Relief, aside from its original purpose which was to provide help to people in underdeveloped areas as well as our very own country.
Watch this disgraceful and demeaning video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zF6HWiPXMM
So what do you think? Has Comic Relief completely disgraced itself with this offensive video, or is it just one thing to wipe under the carpet and focus on all the good work it does? There are massive benefits for everyone thanks to Comic Relief, but this sketch made many people question if Comic Relief had lost sight of their original purpose?

“I watch comic relief every year and I am a big supporter in it, but this, I'm sorry to say, really wasn’t funny at all. As a stammerer I have been told many times to "get on with it" and it isn’t a very nice feeling... at all. And to me this is quite offensive and doesn’t tie in the with whole thing of comic relief as you say you help people like that. On a brighter note though I thought the rest of the night was very funny.”
“That Lenny Henry thinks he is so much funnier than he actually is, this sketch is an absolute disgrace.”
