Kindle vs Books???

Amazon’s Kindle is the newest technology in book reading. But many people argue that the Kindle doesn’t have the feel or smell of real books. But what are your views?

Kindle

The Kindle has 2 different editions, but a third is due to come out soon. With up to a months battery when Wi-Fi is turned off and it’s handy 18x12cm size, you need never be without a great book. And if you finish one while on the go, just connect to Wi-Fi and shop in the Kindle Store and start reading within 60 seconds!

Because of its E-Ink screen, the Kindle can be read in bright sunlight and only uses battery when you select something or turn a page, which is brilliant is you forget your charger on holiday and want to do some reading on the sun bed!

And if you’re feeling a little lazy, just sit back, relax and let the kindle read to you in either a male or female voice! You can access Twitter and Facebook, read your own PDF and Word documents and get bestsellers for as low as £2.50! Also, there are over a hundred FREE books to download for no money at all! And don’t worry about using up the memory because a single Kindle holds up to 3,500 books!

But there are some problems with it as well. If you buy a stylish, attractive case for your Kindle, some of the cases’ clips are too long and end up interfering with the insides, thus making the screen freeze. Also, you can buy a book with one click, so accidental downloads are common. But overall, a Kindle is an extremely handy gadget to have. At only £111 for Wi-Fi and £152 with 3G and Wi-Fi, why are you waiting to get your Kindle today! Just follow this link!

Paper/Hardback Books

But, if you’re one of the people who love the feel of turning a page of holding a book in your hand, then you probably won’t like the idea of a Kindle. Books are lovely, but they use more paper, so are less environmentally friendly. Also, books in bookshops cost more than on the Kindle, so Kindle books are better for cost. For example, Fallen by Lauren Kate costs £6.99 in book stores and £2.99 on Kindle. Paper/Hardback books are also heavier and thick ones are not very portable, whereas the Kindle is. Also, if someone keeps buying books their whole life and never gets rid of any, then the whole house would be full of bookshelf’s, but that same person can do the same with just a single Kindle.

Paper/Hardback books cost around £3.99 to £11.99. Follow these links to bookshop websites! http://www.waterstones.com/waterstonesweb/

I like the idea of Kindle but it's too expensive to actually buy because I'm not very keen on that much reading, but the Kindle is a good idea. You should do something else about the other electronic book readers like Sony.

Hello Person and the magazine team, I just have a couple of questions about this article. 1)You say that you can just download a new book while on the go, but what if you do not have an internetymaboby thing. 2)You say that it is very cheap to buy one but it is ONE HUNDRED AND ELEVEN TO ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY TWO POUNDS. Thank you, but i'd rather use a book. From anon

Go Books. I do not want to get square eyes! Although Kindle does sound cool
