I woke up. My brother was getting ready to go to school. I was about to pull myself out of bed, but then I remembered. Today was the day. 2nd of December 2010. The day I did my audition, the day I thought I was going to see some celebrities, and the day I got off school.
I relaxed and tried to go back to sleep, but it just didn’t work, I was too exited!! I felt really weird that today could be a life changing experience for me, and something to boast about to all my friends at school. So I went downstairs to see what my Mum was doing after she dropped my brother at school, she was thinking to herself. I got a bad feeling she was worrying about me.
“Mum” I said “what’s going through your mind?”
“Do you really want to do this... Because if they say no you will be really upset”
I sighed “Yes, mum, I do want to do this”

Mum kept asking me this all week. “So we had better get cracking, later you will be getting your hair done. Get ready to go out”
I was quite surprised at that. Usually when I go to auditions I wash my hair myself, like every other day, not go and get pampered, maybe its because there were builders in my attic and she didn’t want to get my hair covered in dust which wasn’t going to happen, but maybe she DID care about this audition as much as she said.
I got washed and dressed and ready to go and get my hair done I thought it was just going to be a trim off the ends, and maybe some layers if I’m lucky. But it was completely different. I got a wash with pricey shampoo in a professional washing sink for hair, I knew these weren’t cheap because I saw the price tag. £5.00 for a bottle of shampoo!! The water was like a hot tub and was so relaxing. I felt more pampered than ever, usually when I get this done the water is so cold and there are cheapo shampoo, but I went to Toni&Guy instead of the other place and I was so happy. Then I went and got it dried with a hairdryer which, unlike mine didn’t scold your head. Then they brushed out the tangles and it didn’t tug like when other people brush my hair, after mums violently hacking from when I was younger, NOBODY went near my hair with a brush except me. When it was dry and brushed they straightened it, my hair is all wavy and usually sticks out but now it was beautiful and straight.
“Now, time to get more makeup!” Mum chirped happily. She was never so happy about going shopping before! Never so exited about shopping for makeup, scarily starting to act alot like ME!
We went into the chemist and mum asked the woman behind the counter if she could help us with finding.... A neutral eye shadow, foundation, concealer, mascara, lipstick, and lip-gloss.
The woman at the chemist helped us pick out all of those things, and testing them! And we went home with all of that, and a new brush which the hair stylist recommended for my hair.
After a pizza lunch I had to practice my song I was singing in front of a mirror, and one time I gave myself the shivers because I got an echo in my living room, and our living room just DOSENT echo. I practised harder than I ever done before, practice, practice, practice, harder and harder and harder. I had had an emotional rollercoaster choosing and rehearsing, it may sound lame, but I wanted it so hard that I would do anything to get into the spotlight!
Then we got into the car in the snow and left to go to the London Excel center. I had brought my dad’s IPod with the backing track because I couldn’t find my MP3 player.
After about 3 quarters of an hour we got to the London Excel center. It was snowing and Dad took a photo of me outside! It was MASSIVE! It must have been twice the size of Brent cross! But nearly all of the shops were closed. Maybe because of the auditions or it wasn’t ever busy on weekdays. So mum and dad got a coffee and I got coke. And we had to wait a long time because we were an hour early.
Me and Mum finally started queuing for guess what, ANORHER QUE! Then we had to get a sticker, in a very small, QUE, and then me and mum went to change and put on my new makeup.
I was wearing a knee high dress, the top of it was black and the bottom was white with bows printed on in black, I was wearing tights, and black chunk heels that made me look amazing actually! Mum said I had to wear a cardie over the top until the audition so my voice didn’t get cold, which I think is kinda weird.
Finally, we were about to my go into my audition. The producers put on the music and everybody got revved up and we were all clapping along.
Then a producer came up with a mic so everybody could hear. “err, hi, Sorry, umm, there’s no celebs here today sorry”
Everybody went ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Sounding disappointed.
“Yeah, but you do get to have a go at doing your auditions” the lady said.
A disappointed “yaaay” came from the crowd.
So we had to go and check into a register, then wait for my audition. We got a chance to be on TV, cause we jumped infront of a camera screaming happily, showin off how great the show was so, even if I don’t get in I might still get on the Television.
Then I finally did my audition I waited and now I was in there, infront of a camera man, and a producer, my mum was on the side watching too. I spoke to her for a while, then she put on my backing track on and I started to sing, and once I was started, I felt as if I was in the film, and the producer said I had a nice voice and I was confident and I left the room
I’ll find out if I get in by February to March. But until comment underneath with questions and good luck!! But you never know, I might be famous some day!
